- digital transformationDr Josua Oll has been a postdoc at the Chair of Management at the University of Oldenburg since July 2019. His research addresses issues of sustainability and digital transformation at the interface of strategic management and financing. Specifically, his research focuses on answering three core questions: (1) How do variables on the individual level (e.g. attention, values) influence decision-making behavior in the context of (corporate) sustainability? (2) How do discontinuities in the environment of companies (e.g. climate change, digitization) affect organizational change towards sustainability? (3) How can research on corporate sustainability be methodically further developed? In his empirical work, Dr. The research of dr. Oll has appeared in leading academic journals such as Business & Society, Organization & Environment, and Organizational Research Methods. His dissertation on "Sustainable Investment Decisions" was awarded the Dr. Walter Kapaun Study Prize 2020. His submission for the 2020 Academy of Management Annual Meeting was included in the Best Paper Proceedings. He was also recognized there as one of the top reviewers of the Organizations & the Natural Environment Division. dr Oll is a co-author of the teaching case study, The Case for Divestment: Rockefellers' Fortune?, which won first place in the 2016 oikos Case Writing Competition (Sustainable Finance Track). dr Oll was a research associate at the Chair of Capital Markets and Corporate Management at the University of Hamburg, where he received his doctorate summa cum laude in 2019. During his PhD, he was a visiting researcher in the Markets, Organization and Behavior research group at the University of Southern Denmark. Before his doctorate, he obtained a master's degree in sustainable management from the University of Kassel, a master's degree in sustainable development from the University of Saint Andrews and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Maastricht. In addition, Dr. Oll practical experience at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and in the Corporate Responsibility department of Commerzbank.
