Prof. Dr. Jorge Marx Gomez
Jorge Marx Gómez studied computer engineering and industrial engineering at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Berlin . He then worked for twelve years as a development engineer for digital transmission and switching technology in a managerial position at DeTeWe AG. He received his doctorate in 2001 from the Institute for Technical and Operational Information Systems at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg and was later employed as a research assistant in the business informatics working group at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, where he studied business informatics habilitated in 2004.
From 2002 to 2003 he represented the professorship for business informatics at the TU Clausthal . He has been a professor of business informatics at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg since October 2005 . He was a guest lecturer at the Academy for Economics of the Government of the Russian Federation in Moscow (Russia) and had other teaching positions at the Technical University of Clausthal, the Technical University of Havana (Cuba) and the University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Economics in Berlin. Since July 2005 he has been Dean of the Engineering Faculty and Head of the Business Informatics course at the Wadi German Syrian University (WGSU) (Syria).
In November 2006, Jorge Marx Gómez was awarded the honorary professorship for business informatics at the economics faculty of the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (Cuba). He gained further practical experience as part of numerous projects in business, in which he worked as part of his university work.
